My Workspace Transformation

found in :

I’m so excited to finally share my new desk/workspace! This has been a LONG time coming, and I love how it turned out!

I have been known to be a little bit of a neat-freak and I despise clutter….but you’d never know that looking at my old desk! I had SO much stuff, piled onto such a tiny little space. I started dreading sitting down, and had a hard time focusing because I felt like I could barely move around. I spent hours online trying to find a desk that didn’t break the bank, but was enough room for all of my stuff. I almost felt like I needed one of those huge craft tables.

But luckily, Dustin offered to build me one, and we found the template/instructions online here (for free!) AND! It only took us ONE trip to Lowes!! In total, we ended up spending a little over $300, but that was NOTHING compared to the desks I found online for this size, all wood, and I was able to get exactly what I wanted and needed.

Win, Win!

Here’s a few “before” photos of my desk and workspace. Super cramped!

And here’s after!! (Brought to you by Dustin, Dunkin & Hobby Lobby)

This dresser was left by the previous owners of our house, and about a year ago, I decided to revamp it with a little love, paint and new handles! It’s the perfect additional to hold all of my paperwork, random junk and everything else! AND, it matches my new desk perfectly!

I know my plants are a little sad and pathetic…I love succulents and at one time, had a whole bunch of them….but then this happened…So I tried to save the ones that still had a little bit of life left! I’ll keep you updated on the plants. Haha!

And last but not least, one of the most important things I’ve kept on my desk for many, many years now! This little green name tag was from the reception of the very first wedding that I ever shot with Greg. He asked if I wanted to come shadow hime at a wedding he had been hired to shoot, and the rest is history! I’ve kept this little name tag all of these years because it reminds me not only how far we’ve come, but how grateful I am for all of the successes, major fails and everything else in between that’s lead me to where I am now.

till next time!
